Wordle is part of the New York Times Games, but players do not have to log in to play. This game is also currently still free-to-play. Head to the site or the app and choose a starting word. This starting word should be a five-letter English word that is not a proper noun. Type the starting word into the Wordle website and press enter. The letters will change colors to give players some clues to the answer of the day. Green letters are right and in the right place, gray letters are incorrect, and yellow letters are right but in the wrong place in the word. Players have five more tries to get to the word of the day. Puzzle reset every 24 hours at 12:00AM local time. Wordle will keep track of a player’s stats if they either log into their New York Times account or play on the same device and browser every day.
