In Gomez’ lawsuit, she asks for $10 million from Guangzhou Feidong Software Technology Co. and MutantBox Interactive Limited, the companies behind the mobile game Clothes Forever — Styling Game. The fashion dress-up game, which offers a range of microtransactions, allows players to travel around the world, clothing celebrities. The game’s listing on the App Store says that “the likes of Kardashian, Gigi, Beyonce, Taylor, and more will be dropping by” and asking player’s for fashion advice. It’s unclear if Taylor Swift, Beyonce, and the other celebrities named in the description have deals with the game.

Gomez isn’t named in the game’s description but she alleges that one of the characters in the game is modeled on her. One of the first images that potential players see on the App Store is of a young, brunette-haired woman in a white shirt and a leather mini-dress. The image appears to be a mirror of the image Flare magazine used of Gomez in its November 2015 issue. A side-by-side of the images, created by Variety, shows just how close they are.

The singer and actress says that she wouldn’t have consented to being part of the game and called its in-game purchases “unsavory.” Several games have been criticized for their microtransactions but few have been slammed so heavily for it in lawsuits.
