However, one player felt that Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice wasn’t difficult enough and decided to try learning the game inside and out. The result was a deep knowledge of the game, giving the player enough confidence and comfort to try a blindfolded takedown of one of Sekiro’s bosses.

The player, Twitch streamer Mitchriz, showed complete mastery of the game, defeating Gyoubu The Demon in a single attempt while blindfolded. The result was a clip that puts other Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice boss runs to shame, showing a true master of the game at work.
In the clip, Mitchriz used specific, practiced movements to position himself perfectly at the start of the battle, landing a ton of hits during Gyoubu’s speech before the fight began. After this, Mitchriz used nothing but sound cues and memorized movement to complete the battle. Mitchriz could tell where Gyoubu was and what he was doing based on auditory awareness, the sounds of Gyoubu and his horse, and the sounds of structures in the arena being destroyed. The result was a quick, mostly clean Gyoubu kill.
Though Gyoubu is regarded as one of the easier bosses in Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, any boss in any game is going to be a challenge without sight. In a blindfolded run, Gyoubu is much more dangerous due to his reach. Some bosses in Sekiro are constantly approaching the player, constantly putting themselves in range of players’ melee attacks, but Gyoubu utilizes his speed, height, and spear to stay out of reach of players. This was a further testament to Mitchriz’s game knowledge, as he knew exactly when to attack, when to block, and when to grapple to Gyoubu, making the fight look easy.
Mitchriz went on to complete the entire “Shura” ending of Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice blindfolded on stream, further showing his skills.
