Gorka appeared on the C-SPAN show Sunday morning and claimed that during Obama’s presidency the country was a “racist America” because the former commander in chief “saw his fellow Americans based upon their skin color.”

During a call-in session covering Trump and the 2020 campaign, the former Fox News contributor was visibly frustrated by a caller pointing out the negative rhetoric the president has towards inner cities such as Baltimore. The caller finished his ambling question by asking, “Do you support these tariffs? Do you support white farmers being ruined and put on welfare? Are you going to talk about the white farmers the way you talk about people from the inner cities all being on welfare?”

Gorka responded to the question by saying that Obama, “divided us,” and noted that unemployment among black Americans and Hispanics is lower than it has been in generations. He punctuated the point with, “Facts don’t matter for the left. Facts are optional.”

“Trump doesn’t divide America,” Gorka added. “He wants you to be safe with your families and he wants you to prosper irrespective of your skin color.” He then compared Trump to Obama by saying, “[Trump] doesn’t see color. He is utterly colorblind.”

The next day, Gorka took to Twitter and shared the interview saying, “The silent majority is growing. Just listen to the callers we received yesterday morning who have come over to @realDonaldTrump. And note the rank Anti-Semitism of @theDemocrats caller.”

Gorka worked for the Trump administration for eight months in 2017, but exited after he claimed that many in the White House weren’t supporting Trump’s Make America Great Again platform. Other sources claimed that the reason for his departure was due to his security clearance being revoked.

Gorka now hosts a daily radio show for the Salem Radio Network, America First with Sebastian Gorka. During a show which aired last week, he statedthat a certain congressman said that Gorka should be the next National Security Adviser following the departure of John Bolton from the White House.

Though not mentioning the congressman’s name, Gorka said, “I’d love to see that congressman tweet it out. That would be most amusing to watch the heads explode amongst the Never Trump and liberal elite.”

However, Charles Kupperman has been appointed to serve as the Acting National Security Adviser until a permanent replacement can be named. On his show, Gorka did not state he would like the job, but suggested that current Secretary of State Mike Pompeo take the post.

“Secretary Pompeo should be dual-hatted. We don’t need the massive duality and duplicity, the duplication, the duplicative mission sets of doing national security, foreign policy advice in the White House and running the State Department. So my vote is in. Mike Pompeo, tap him on the shoulder,” Gorka said.
