According to the Seattle Times, Kira Zylstra hired performer Beyonce Black St. James to dance at the event at South Seattle College. While Secret of Mana is being remade for modern platforms, completely reworking the game’s visuals, Square Enix has decided to maintain the core gameplay experience of the original JRPG. That includes only offering offline couch co-op, allowing for three different players to play. Oyamada’s claim seems contradictory, in that adding online play wouldn’t prevent those nostalgic for couch co-op from playing locally at all. The decision not to include online play only denies players unable to partake in couch co-op from enjoying the game’s multiplayer....

Marlon Anderson had worked for three years as a security guard at West High School in Madison, and in the school district for 11 years. Tempers frayed during a confrontation with a student whom he was trying to calm and get to leave the school. Anderson said that the student started to curse at him and used the N-word repeatedly. McConnell said it was a “big lie” to call the new voting law racist. “It’s simply not true,” McConnell said of President Biden’s criticism that the new bill was a return to Jim Crow–era restrictions that limited ballot access for Black Americans. The lead GOP negotiator told Fox News Sunday that lawmakers have been working toward reaching an agreement before the scheduled August recess, set to begin in less than two weeks. “We worked on it yesterday. We’ll have it in the conversation today. We’ll be meeting tomorrow. I will be talking with law enforcement leaders tomorrow as well,” the South Carolina senator told host Martha MacCallum. “I think there is hope for the bill, without any question....

The bill, named Health Misinformation Act, targets Section 230 of the Communications Act, which protects internet platforms from lawsuits due to content generated by their users and other third parties. Klobuchar said the bill is necessary to create a ”long-term solution” after legislators have attempted to make changes through the power of persuasion. “For far too long, online platforms have not done enough to protect the health of Americans. Park’s body was found at Mount Bukak in northern Seoul just hours after he was reported missing. The exact cause of his death is under investigation, The Korea Herald reported. The 64-year-old mayor was recently facing sexual harassment allegations, according to local media. A former secretary of his filed a complaint Wednesday against Park with the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency for alleged sexual assault. Police were reportedly planning to call Park as well as Seoul government officials for investigations into the case, The Korea Herald reported....
